Show your support for "Iron Aiden" by joining the team, "Team Iron Aiden". Team Iron Aiden was started to show support for Aiden, while giving support to The Nationwide Childrens Hospital, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, known as NICU J4. Aiden (our son born 7/12/11) is one of the many residents of NICU and during his stay we have realized there are some items of need that could go a long way in helping some of the other babies during their stay. Please help us give to the NICU by purchasing the bands to show your support for Aiden. The proceeds (yep,100% of proceeds!) from purchasing a wristband will in turn be used to purchase these items (baby mobiles, bouncy chairs, mirrors etc.). We will list the items that are purchased for the unit, monies recieved and used, and hopefully add pictures. Iron Aiden = http://www.journeywithaiden.com Aiden was born with multiple health complications that were discovered around the 15th week of pregnancy. He was born with 22q deletion syndrome (a chromosome disorder), Spina Bifida, Hydrocephalus, and Tetralogy of Fallot (a congenital heart defect). To date(November 2011 @ 4 months old) he has had surgery to repair the lesion on his back, open heart surgery, and 2 brain surgeries for his hydrocephalus. He spent 9 weeks in the hospital after his birth and just currently had an 11 day stay for his second brain surgery. These wristbands were made to show Aiden that people love and support him all over the country while he fights so hard everyday to overcome his health difficulties! He is doing amazingly well and we can't wait to give back to the place that saved his life! The Team Iron Aiden bands come in three sizes: large, medium, and child. The large bands are 8 3/8" around and will fit most adults and large-framed teenagers. The medium bands are 7 3/8" around and generally fits ages six and up, including most teenagers and small-framed women. The child bands are 5 7/8" around and typically fit children 4-6 years old. Wristbands are not intended for children younger than four years old. |
